Just installed Serv-U 3.0, any pointers?

There's quite a few settings to play with folks.

Are there some real important settings which need to be correct or else

Yeah get you 2 Firewalls dude
i dont have an ftp but
get
zonealarm or neo forgot the last part
So if anything should happen you have full logs
ALSO
Use any port above i think its 500 or 5000
not sure i remember why
cause your isp scans for those ports 0-500 or 5000
Also
make sure you set up a good limit so people can get good speeds

Thanks DS for the ports info. (I didn't know that ).

I use AtGuard 3.22 which I think is a pretty cool firewall. (I think anyway).

So that should do the trick.

also in regards to ports:

Some ISP's do not like you serving with them...so use a port that an online game would use. Then your isp just thinks you are a game addict NOT a server

I use 27015, and to date have had no problems with my isp... (mine does not allow serving)

Serv-u isnt a good porg at all there r much better.
I dont use FTP servers so i cant give u name's but anyway Serv-U isnt a good prog
