client/router problems

i'm not sure if it is the client having problems or the router causing the client not to list when i log into servers. i have tried both flashfxp and cuteftp and neither of them will work. i have not changed any settings on my router (DLink 604), and have toggled pasv/port modes in both ftp clients.

can anyone help me? thanks.

Are you saying it worked at first and now it does not?

And any firewall software installed?

thats exactly what i'm saying. worked just the other day and now it doesn't. have tried more than one site, so i know its not just the one site that isn't listing.

only firewall is what is included on/in the router.

edit: must have been some app that i installed lately causing the problem. uninstalled a few that i had installed lately and everything seems to be wokring again.

@adams73533 - What are the programs you uninstalled so some of us might have a good idea what programs might give us a problem like this.

I have the LINKSYS BEFSR41 and have questioned connection problems too.

steganos internet anonym 5 and bittorent. don't know which one it was, but those are the only two i've installed in the last couple of days.

I would say it was Steganos IA, I have tried that before and ran into problems
