I don't know much about mIRC, but I would like too. So I thought maybe somebody could make a kind of tutorial now that we have the B1-Mirc channel. What I think of is f. ex. how you register your nick ? Why has somebody a + in front of their nick others have @ others * others nothing ? Where to find the serving script if you want to advertise a link or a server ? What commands do you use ?

As you see, I'm a totally newbie on this area

Working on it...

We are working on a new version of our script which will hopefully be more customised and user friendly. It will automatically join you into the correct server/channel, and will feature a kinda toutorial wizard on startup.

** DOH *** just realised now I had posted the wrong link...

First beta. Still crap. But at least its easy to use. Just type a nick, and pass, and it automatically handles nickserv registation etc, and joins you into the correct channel and server.

Ill be working on getting the toutorial links to work.

There are all sorts of tutorials and modifications for mIRC out there here is a link to mIRC's offical FAQ
http://www.mirc.com/faq.html
And one for scripts: http://www.xcalibre.com/

If you do a Google search I'm sure you'll find a ton of information on mIRC it's been around for a long time.

Hi,

I'm no EXPERT, but know a bit about mIRC.

If it's needed, I can do a tutorial similar to the one I did on Mt. Rainier.

Hi

YEs i think its a good idea that some that have used irc more than just as a chat channel to make a tutorial.

Like how to set up dcc correct and if something fails what to do..

Like if you have req a file and then it show pitt is trying to send you a file please let your client resive bla bla and you cant resive the file at all.Ypu only get closing transfer in 150sec

what do you do?..

Me need someting like that.. So yes make something :-)
