For those who are interested in the Microsoft PLUS! Digital Media Edition for Windows XP, I just seen an advertisement in the Sunday paper for CompUSA who is offering Microsoft PLUS! Digital Media Edition for $4.99 after a $15.00 instant savings (originally $19.99).

BTW, I didn't see any remarks about a rebate--the ad said it is an "instant savings". No mail-in rebates.

There's a rebate I would guess you would never see. I've been screwed before on rebates enough to know not to allow the hope of receiving a rebate justify buying something. Even if it didn't have a rebate and the shelf price was $4.99, I still wouldn't buy it either.

I try to get stuff even if I don't need it when its free after rebates. Usually get most if not all of the money back. Sometimes they send a card saying we didn't mail it in time, but my mom just sends them a hateful letter back, then in a couple of months we get the money.
