I have a friend who has a mail.com email account who can login to the account, but cannot open up any messages from his computer. He has to use any other computer to access and read his mail. He goes to his inbox and then clicks on a message that he would like to read. The clicking sound happens (when you click on something in IE, it makes a small click sound) but nothing happens. It just sits there like its done, but the page doesnt change. The question is why? He has tried disabling Norton Internet Security and then trying, but with no results. He has tried using opera instead of IE to access the page, but opera wouldnt let him read his email either. He has tried looking at his trusted/restricted sites in IE internet options, but its not in either one of those. Any suggestions as to what is going on?

Will tell him to install a new JVM and get back to you as to the results. Thanks Sephiroth for the suggestion.

He installed the JVM from Suns site, and that didnt fix the problem, however we have narrowed it down to be his firewall settings somewhere. He doesnt have a lot of time on his hands right now to look at his configuration, but he disabled his firewall and it let him read his mail... go figure.
