Now I'm 40+ and think I have seen a lot of things, experienced a lot, achieved some... I have tried a couple of professions (do you put it that way in English?), seen my kids (I got three of them, aged 21, 16 and 16) grow up, traveled some around the globe, met a lot of people.
There really are alot of things remaining, places to go, things to do.
I think that as long you can raise an interest for new things you aren't that old really - just more experienced.
The saying (my own translation) "You are as old as you feel" is kinda true.
Another story is a thing a read in the paper the other day about a woman here. She had applied to the athorities and asked for a new passport, new driving license and a new social security number as she had found her biological age to be wrong: She felt ten years younger (she is 47 and wanted to be 35) and so wanted to get her day of birth changed accordingly, officially...
Oh well...
