DivX to SVCD

I've got two 700 meg divx avi's that i want to convert and burn to SVCD...

does anybody know an easy way to do this where I can either reencode the files and not worry about the files being too large to fit on CDR after encoding so I don't have to split it up even more, or just skip encoding them completely and make my dvd player think they are svcd's? my dvd player is a bit picky about what it will play lol

You will have to convert them to mpeg format first and then burn them as svcd. Get tmpgenc which is the best available freeware tool to convert divx to mpeg. The program comes with a wizard that will let you convert the divx to mpeg in 3 or fewer steps (the conversion process is going to take quite some time depending on the length of the avi).
