"CMD" works and don't works...........

Hello,

Some days, I start--run--CMD and all is working fine

But today, I see this when I try to run "CMD" :

C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxxxxxx\Desktop>

And all the command I try don't works

This is not the first time that I see this

How can I fix that please

hmmm

going out on a limb here, try this

type "set" without the quotes and either copy and paste or put a screenshot here of what it says and I'll see what i can do from there

Another thing, is try typing path=c:\windows\system32;c:\windows\;c:\windows\sy stem32\wbem

that should fix some things, still need to see a shot of what set gives though

I also looked into toit but couldn't find a thing yet.

Check if there are and shortcuts or pif files with the name cmd, and try starting _DEFAULT.LNK of _DEFAULT.PIF. Also you may try to start command.com (?!?) anyways.

the reason no programs are starting is because the path is f'ed up, the command i gave will fix that, but i can't remember how to make it permanent

But I still have the "1"
