date socket error on every server

after i connect to servers it will say connected blah blah blah then it says trying to connecting date socket, after that it says "Failed to establish date socket, on every server this happens. im using cute ftp 4.2.5

where it said "date" i meant data, sorry

Try and toggle the "pasv" mode switch in your ftp klient prog. this usually helps if you get this error or get nothing from a list command.
