CdrSoft = game over ?

A long time that I doesnt frequent to CdrSoft and look what it say on the homepage

Hi people !

I am the webmaster of CDRSoft since quite some time. I think it was about 2 years ago, as I started to work on CDRSoft. Before I was working on a warez site called Filez4u ! Greetz fly out to all Filez4u Members ! Yeah, I remember the days when we upped on geocities, and the accounts created traffic neverending, but were never kicked. Now no more good free hosts are out there. We have to host our files on our own server, to run a stable service for you and the worst thing of all: online ads do not create money anymore. It is no matter if it are banners or popups, both do not pay that much money. So it is farely impossible to run a download portal ...
You have surely seen 3DFiles.com going down, though they were supported by ZDNet for quite some time. We are on our own ! All the illegal content keeps supporters away from us. We have to find a way to get enough money for the servers and especially for the traffic. It is really a shame, that big download sites, like CDRSoft crash into such money troubles, but hell .. Seems like we are not the only site having troubles, there are a lot of ehm ... Many are already down, and personally I wouldn´t wonder if CDRSoft apears on the down list pretty soon as well. The whole CDRSoft team works hard on the site, especially our forum team, but on the other hand, we hardly can pay our hosting bills. I cannot speak for the whole team, but I am kinda exhausted. Working hard for the site and the forum ... and in the end ... I spend most of my time to find money to pay the monthly bills. This is the point I cannot stand, or I cannot stand anymore !
I am really thinking of closing CDRSoft down. First I always thrown away that thought, but now ...
Times are gettin worse and worse every day, and I am not sure if there are comming better times. I know that many people would be sad if we would close the site, but on the other hand: there are not much people supporting us ! People, without YOUR help we are lost ... It is impossible for me to carry on like this ... I wouldn´t sell the site anyhow, since everybody else would turn CDRSoft into a porn site, and make at least some money with it. I always tried to do a good job on the site and of course a good job FOR the community. Now it is time that the community helps us. I really beg you to help us ...
If you don´t, you will see CDRSoft going down soon !
For now, I am off, I will spend the weekend with my familiy and think about the whole story ...
I will think of ways by which you could support us.
Donations, premium membership, and such things.
So be prepared !

Thats sad because I consider that site a good source of CDRW info. Many of you know about it. He have a complete list of the lastest software about CDRW....

It is a nice website, but personally I think he is a hypocrite. Giving links for softwarez and then bitching because people were using ad blockers and stuff when he knows people use them anyway, and he probably does too. He should be commended that he kept it running for so long, but unless there are donations, you can forget "paying the bills" through web ads. He knows it's coming [again], he is just trying to soften the blow. I give it until X-mas and CDRsoft will be gone. My prediction.

Really sad but we know the scene is hard. Most of the old "sources" are gone or taken offline by anti-pirates site's. We know these things happend and we all know that if one goes down, 2 come up.
