MS tries again after faulty Bluetooth security fix
Microsoft has pushed out a revised version of a security update issued earlier this month after realising its first attempt at cracking a Bluetooth security bug failed to do the business. Redmond's first go at resolving a vulnerability in its Bluetooth stack failed to properly protect machines running either Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Windows XP Service Pack 3. As a result users applying the update were still at risk from the vulnerability, which created a possible mechanism to inject hostile code onto vulnerable systems.

The revised fix, which came out on Thursday, nine days after the original patch, aims to plug the gap and ought to applied by users running either Windows XP SP2 or SP3.
