Notebook cooling solutions are available in many different shapes, sizes and orientations. Some work by raising the notebook off of the surface you are working on, while others incorporate cooling fans to help keep temperatures down. Each of these different methods has its own benefits and drawbacks (ex: active cooling requires power, adds noise and will drain your notebook's battery faster). Today we will be taking a look at a new solution from Thermaltake, the iXoft. This soft, cloth-like pad takes a different approach to notebook cooling, aiming to dissipate heat across the pad rather than cool it actively.
