IE saving as problem

i always save web pages as MHTML as it gives only one single file.
disregarding howmany times i save it as MHTML, everytime when i go and try to save a web page the default file type comes as html, (so pissed off).
does anyone have had the same trouble? is there any hidden option to change the default file format? or should MS needs to fix it in the next IE versions?
