The new ThinkCentre A61e, also called "BlueSky" by its manufacturer, is the first desktop offered by a major system builder that is available with AMD's low power Athlon X2 BE-2350 or Sempron LE 1150 processors. According to Lenovo, the new system is considerably smaller than its predecessor and does not take up not more space than a typical phone book.

The manufacturer claims that the power consumption of the A61e (not including a monitor) does not climb above 45 watts. Also the desktops are built from up to 90% of reusable or recyclable materials, while its packaging is also recyclable at up to 90%, according to Lenovo.
