Today, Microsoft released to the public, a preview version of Internet Explorer 7.
This official Beta 2 Preview of IE7 is based on build 5296 and the release includes such things as a new interface, tabbed browsing including quick tabs & tab groups, a built-in search box, improved printing support, page zoom, support for RSS feeds, improved compatibility include CSS 2.1 support & transparent PNG support, and improved security.
The current, stand-alone download of Internet Explorer 7 is only available for Windows XP Service Pack 2, but there are plans to add support for Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP Professional x64 Edition with the later milestones of IE7. The final release of Internet Explorer 7, which Microsoft expects to occur in the second half of 2006, will also be included with Windows Vista.
