Roadrunner....wierd
Question....Speed upgrades in the future? I had the wierdest experience last night around 11pm. I guess the whole world was asleep (at least in my neighborhood), and I was downloading from testmy.net (speed testing dl) and I was getting a consistant get this 1.13MBps, yes that megabytes per second.....then I tested my upload and got 105KBps...I am only on the 5mb/384 plan but WOW, then it stayed steady at 800-950KB per second, but this morning it was all back to normal

Anyone hear of some speed upgrades in the future for us RR customers?

I wonder if customer service would tell me anything

Well.. I downloaded from ActiveState.. for their activepearl exe.. and received.. almost 3MB/s from them.. it QUICKLY dropped down to about 500KB/s.. since that is what is paid for.. not 3MB/s.. but still really good speed.

Then again.. their servers are on a 100Mbit/s telecom link... damn if I can find the peerings.. grrr... but their connection is fast.. really fast..

it wouldn't suprise me none, because FIOS from verizon is currently at 5/2 and 15/2 and 30/5 and the 15/2 plan is only 44$ a month, but you have to live in an area that has FIOS service and thats like finding a needle in a hay stack....RR just recently made me upgrade to the SB5100 which is DOCSIS 2.0 ready, and we all know that DOCSIS 2.0 supports speeds in excess of 25Mbits per second....So could we start seeing the roll out of good cable tiered like this?

Standard Packages ($35-55)
1. 8/768
2. 8/1

Premium Packages ($65-80$)
1. 12/1
2. 15/5

I think they will upgrade, but I still wont more upstream!

Yes 768kbps does such when you have 8mbps+ downstream.
