Hi. I just found out today that an internet company I used to work for about six months ago has been recieving my e-mail that I used to get when I worked there.
The e-mail account was disabled when I left but the SOB has re-activated it and intercepting what ever comes in.
Isn't this illegal?
Someone help me shut this account down.
I'm thinking I need to have someone with a mass e-mailer just flood the shit out of the account with spam or large files.

The e-mail address in question is scottk@genextllc.com

Any admins should be able to check and see that I did used to have an e-mail account there just so you know I'm not trying to mess with someone.

How I found out was, a friend of my wife's sent news of a friends death to that old e-mail and my ex-boss thought he should call and let us know. That was decent of him but I am SO PISSED that he has been doing that.

Any advise would be appreciated and feel free to sign that address up for any kind of spam you see fit.

Not sure that there is much that you can do - most companies have policies stating that all electronic communication via company property is owned by the company.

I would recommend that you get an offsite email address (hotmail, google, etc.) and forward all your contacts the new email address. That should help in the future but not ATM though.

Mass e-mailing can cause you problems that you may not want. Contact the site admin and have it closed. Then contact all people that were or are sending e-mail to that account and let them know your knew account. You are going to have to solve this with a cool head and lots of talking, you may have to visit the person that reopened the account.

As JacKDynne says I am almost sure if the account is within their network, then they have the right to look and check things out to make sure all is ok. Good luck and be smart with this.

Thanks

Thanks for the replies.
The problem with contacting the site admin is that the guy that is snooping my old e-mail address IS the site admin. Nothin I can do there.
Oh, well. I don't think much comes there anymore anyway but who knows. He may be responding to e-mail's addressed to me though.
It just pisses me off. I quit this company cause the guy was such a lier and just a snake. He's just provin me right by this kind of activity.

The only other alternative solution you have would be to contact the people who would be sending you e-mail and notify them of changes, I might then even contact the owner with proof that this is happening. This is only to protect you and the company as well. Good luck...........

Thanks
