I am sort of torn by this question. On the one hand, giving pirates the ability to install a service pack is a genuine benefit to the pirate. It allows her/him to obtain the latest bug fixes, patches, etc. for a product they have basically stolen.
On the other hand, a side effect is that if a pirate is more protected from some of the bad things out there that can be spread and do a lot of damage, then we all in some small way better off.
I can see why it would be hard for Microsoft to allow pirated users' copies of Windows the ability to install a service pack. They lose billions each year from "shared" software. I myself have used such items, so I'm not talking about the morality of the issue. Just the nuts and bolts.
In the end, I say let ALL users update to SP2. Microsoft just needs to improve the anti-piracy measures they are working on.
