hi all

My pc has 2 hard disks. I have stored all my programs on d:\ . ..i had to remove my cd rom drive ..so a tech guy came and he removed..i had hibernated my pc.. i had opened few files (VB, ASP) ..After removing the cd rom drive..i guess that guy didnt insert the cable properly..in the d:\ hard disk..so PC didnt detect the HDD. then i had shutdown my PC..then the cable was put in properly....ChkDsk ran and it deleted some files..so all the files that i had opened got deleted since it was opened from D:\.. Is there a way to recover the files?..those are very important files...I use Windows 2000 NTFS..\
I tried GetBackFor NTFS..but it is of no use..
any help would be appreciated

thanks a ton

~*McoreD*~ is an unknown quantity at this point
You can try JacKDynne's suggestion. Other than that you also could try
Easy recovery
Code:
http://www.ontrack.com/easyrecovery
or
Restorer 2000
Code:
http://www.restorer2000.com
The more you use your computer though, the less chance you will have of recovering the data. If I were you I would pull the drive that had the data on it out of the machine until you are ready to try and restore.

Good Luck

Some have had luck with a program called Recover4all.
Code:
