is this an alright motherboard. for the moment (if ever) i don't plan on overclocking so i don't need a bunch of features.

In honesty, I'd go for the Abit NF7-S as an nForce2 mobo, its the best around.

i'm mainly concerened with the price and the abit is $20 or $30 more.

also does this mean i have to buy 2 sticks of memory?

The nForce IGPs also incorporate HyperTransport?, a high-speed bus for increased data throughput, and the industry's only dual 64-bit DDR memory architecture, providing unsurpassed system performance and a staggering 6.4GB/sec. with DDR400 memory-the highest system performance available today.

i was looking in its manual and they showed the tests they did on it and every one of them had 2 sticks of memory, so i got to worrying that it wouldn't work with one stick. thanks again.
