lol, yeah- i found that out. Yet a few weeks later i found i could pick one up from RadioShack (Tandy it is called in the UK) for just a few £'s. Was the easiest thing in the world to fit as well. Makes me kind of sorry i threw out all my old electronic components!

unicorn is on a distinguished road
Another way to go;
My switch at the last rig went limbo. I opened the case and removed the cables and shortcut them. (So this made the switch bypassed in practise it was always pressed "on".) Then I took tha mains cable and instead of putting it back in the mains outlett in the wall I put it into one of theese things with four or five outlets and a mains switch on them. (I think you know what I mean.) Then I also put the mains cable for the monitor and the printer there. Since then that rig is turned on/off by using that switch, everything is turned off at the same time. (Technical: In fact that switch with a red light brakes both the cables to the main power, the third cable (ground) is not broken, this means I let the cable stay if I open the case and know that everything is grounded, practical).

This is it; cheap, practical, safe and easy replaceable. And a picture as I don't know the word in English:

Don't you even dare to remind me
Yup, thats right, a bad PS can fry your system badly, and a bad mobo ( with cheap cap's ) can make both
your PS and in worst case, your appartement/house burn down.

So the general rule of thumb is :
Don't leave your rig running if your not at home to watch it !

Oh, people can come up with statistics to prove anything. 14% of people know that.
