here's my dilemma ... i have a friend who has a legit copy of Win XP but she has no internet connection ... though i did download Sp1 for her and burned it to cd ... whenever i execute it, it always tries to connect to the net. Here's the question ... how can i just extract all files from Sp1 and put all files into a folder which i can burn onto a cd and install from that. Anyone know how i can do this.

Ps. she doesn't want integrated cd ... just sp1 .... don't ask me why?

So, what exactly is the problem?
What is wrong with connecting to the net- sorry if I am a little slow.

According to what I read she is talking about slipstreaming SP1 but saying in the same time she doesn't want the intergrated SP1.
Putting all the files in the SP1 in a folder should mean slipstreaming to you, unless you can't get this done. Just copying the SP1 files to i386 folder won't work. Ask her to slipstream. That's the solution if she no needs Internet for that. Go here:

Hope that helps.

Glad you are okay.

Tell her that "sliptreamed with SP1" and "SP1 intergrated" means just the same. (afaik )
