A US DISTRICT COURT in the tiny but perfectly formed state of Delaware has ruled that Intel can have a fresh hearing against its bitter networking rival, Broadcom.
Intel has claimed that Broadcom infringed a number of its patents filed with the US office that looks after these things.
Number 4,975,930 and number 4,823,201 as well as 5,894,410 and number 5,079,630 with 5,134,478 are patents filed by the Intel Corporation covering so called "smart" networking products, semiconductor chip packages, and digital video encoding and decoding techniques.
Earlier courts have ruled against Intel in some of these matters.
