O.k I would like opinions on who you think is the best bass player ???

My Opinion is two people - Micheal Manring (Solo Artist - Alex Skolnick from testament played on his "Idiot King" cd) and Les Claypool (Primus)

There are other I think are very good, but they don't match the two I listed.

There is only one my friend the late great John Entwhistle (The Ox).

May he rest in peace.

Depends on the style you like, sometimes I like a funk or sometimes a rock bass. So I really like Flea, P-Nut, and Tim Commerford, and Fieldy has his moments.

Since I was just listening to Exit Stage Left today I am going to go with Geddy Lee from Rush.

I strongly agree with Leech... Flea is nuts. Put Flea and Chad Sexton (311 drummer) together and you got yourself an out-of-this-world rhythm section... hehe
