A good friend of mine repaired his windows 2000 os by putting it on top of the malfunctioning version,he switched cdr drives too......
Now,a lot of his integrated shell programs, for example, stuff like winrar and startup programs, like virusscanner, firewall and a bunch of other stuff, point to the program files on his "I" drive, but the "I" is a burner now,his os is on "D"....Result:some of his programs don't run, although they are all in the program files directory on "D"........It's just that they don't seem to know it.....
It's very strange, because the majority of his programs display their new path fine, why don't the others?
How can it be fixed?
