CES2008: Crucial External SSD Kit
At CES, there were sevaral booths showing off functioning solid state disks (SSD). One that caught our eye was the Crucial SK01 External Drive Kit. This kit gives you the benefits of having a SSD as well as higher portability. The kit comes with a 3.5" bay, 5.25" drive bracket, and a 2.5" USB 2.0 enclosure for a SSD. This allows you to plug the drive into the computer and get SATA2 3Gb/s speeds, and then eject it to have the ability to take it anywhere and plug it into any USB. This hot-swappable feature may prove to be very useful.
