Asetek solves its capacity constraints
Danes sign AVC for tough task

EVER SINCE YOURS truly got his paws on Asetek's Vapo Chill Micro, almost two years ago, it was clear to me that this company packs some serious engineering potential.

Small air cooler easily bested every entry-level water-cooling system, but asetek could not sort out most important thing of them all: manufacturing.

VapoChill Micro was sadly, never available for massive market, leaving the dominance of Zalman, Cooler Master and other giants - intact. This was just one of products that Asetek had issues with, but with today's official announcement, we hope that Asetek managed to sort out its Achille's Heel.

The company announced that it is entering a manufacturing agreement with AVC (Asia Vital Components), for a period of three years.

Asetek will now work in a manufacturing handover mode - the company will continue to manufacture prototypes and small production batches in Denmark, but mass availability will be reached when AVC gets prototypes in manufacturing form.

Knowing AVC's background - if you own a retail CPU from Intel or AMD, there is a good chance that cooler is manufactured by AVC - this just might be the ticket to ride that this European company was looking for.
