Firewall And Antivirus

What is the best software out there for antivirus and internet firewall? The more stable and one that isn't resource hog? and the more reliable!!

I am not sure what is the best anti virus and firewall is. But I use NOD32 and Windows Firewall. No problems so far.

If you are going to purchase a firewall, you would be better off with a router. Cheaper and doesnt mess with your windows settings.

AV is questionable... Norton offers no support without $$$ ... but does a good job for the most part. I have heard Panda is pretty good, but never tried it. Even AVG free is not bad, and free as in the name.

I run NOD32 and Zone Alarm Pro and I am locked up pretty well...never had a problem yet. Used to run McAfee and ZA Pro but McAfee gets in the way and is a comparitive resource hog to NOD32. For free you can go with AVG Antivirus and Zone Alarm (free version) and you should be pretty good...I would go this way if you are on a real tight budget.
