I have a 7.3 gig soccer movie on hard drive.
What prog can I use to split this in half so I can fit it on 2 DVDs.
I would then likely burn it with Nero.

There are 2 folders
Audio_ts
And
Videp_ts , and all files inside the Video_ts folder start with VTS_

I do not want to compress this movee.
I want to split it between 2 DVD blanks
thanks

Most likely it is a DVD decrypted to the hard drive.
In the Video_TS folder are there four files:
  • VTS_02_1.VOB
  • VTS_02_2.VOB
  • VTS_02_3.VOB
  • VTS_02_4.VOB
which are 0.99 GB each? or is it a single large VOB file?

If former is the case, I would suggest you to make a lossless copy of WMV8.
Code:
http://www.microsoftusernetwork.com/mcored/
If latter is the case: VobEdit 0.6 - VOB editing utility, can split, demux, remux and join VOB files.

Cheers,

there is one Audio_ts
And one Videp_ts ,
Not encrypted, not compressed.

I tried DVD Shrink, but it compressed 40 % and fit it all on DVD. Good Quality, but not like the original.

I could not figure out how to get it split it to 2 dvd blanks with 0 compression.

Hrm... I have no idea, but am taking a stab at it... is there an option in Nero to burn it to 2 seperate DVDs? Or do you have to split them up before you start burning?

So that Video_TS.VOB file is the actual Video file you should be considering of splitting. Didn't you try VobEdit yet? As I said before it is a VOB editing utility, can split, demux, remux and join VOB files.

There are no .VOB in the VIDEO_TS file. There are many, over 20, files and they all start with VTS_...., ranging in size from a few KB, to several hundred meg. I think that DVD shrink will do it, with a bit of practice
thanks
