I have messed up one of my hdd .. i was going to install win98 on on partition
and after i restart my putter scandisk tell that there was error on it..
so i clicked fix error to all error was gone.. after restart my pc again 92gb of progtrams was gone or the hdd show that 92gb is in use but there is noon folder only files like in the attachement

Is there any software that i can use to recover the files/folders

Win system restore dont work i have tryed that just in case

I really hpoe some can have an idea or have been there before and had manage to find a solution to how to get the files back

Thanks for any help

Problem resolved

After getting many helpfull tips how to get all files back i went over to ontrack and got a program from them it restored all the files and converted the above pic to their orginal folders and files..

Thanks for all help im now a happy man again

ohh sorry i though i wrote the name

Ontrack Easyrecovery pro

this program must be one of the best i have ever tryed to recover some lost data..

There can be more programs out that do the same thing as ontrack did and if some know of any more please let us all know for this can happen us all...

I recently lost a load of documents by creating a domain then moving all the documents from a local account to the folder they are stored in on the domain account on that pc but when I next logged in with that account windows overwrote the local profile with the roaming one meaining it deleted all the documents.
I tried a backup program but all it did was create folders that were already there
