A friend, searching for a last-minute gift (for himself) last Friday, looked at Amazon.com's Computers Sales List and found an interesting tidbit: an Apple MacBook was #1 on the list (don't worry, he was going to use next-day shipping, late shopper that he is). Looking at the list (

http://www.amazon.com/Apple-MB062LL-...?ie=UTF8&s=pc), with a 13.3" screen, 1 GB of RAM, 120 GB hard drive and 2.2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 CPU is indeed #1, with an HP laptop (
http://www.amazon.com/Pavilion-DV662...2?ie=UTF8&s=pc) with a larger 15.4" screen, 1 GB of RAM, 160 hard drive, but a slower 1.5 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 CPU #2 ... and nearly 50% less, after rebates.
