When I was younger it was something you learned as a kid. Want to know what time it is when you had a power outage or other calamity that screwed up your clocks? Call the "Time Lady" or POPCORN on your telephone. POPCORN, using the letters on the phone keyboard, would spell out the correct number to call - really though, 767 and any 4 digits would work, at least in the San Francisco Bay Area. Of course, a kid didn't learn that right away, as POPCORN was easier to remember. However, AT&T is about to shut it down in California.
