Hewlett Packard sued by hacks
Ethics, where the gals wear white stiletto heels

A NUMBER OF American reporters have filed lawsuits against Hewlett Packard for snooping on them.

Hacks from the Associated Press and from news.com filed a series of cases in a San Francisco court against former boss Patricia Dunn and former "ethics" man Mr Keven Hunsaker.

According to AP, HP is being sued for "illegal and reprehensible conduct", of invasion of privacy, of inflicting emotional distress and of unfair business practices.

HP, according to the report, tried to pay the hacks off but they told the firm to take a running jump.

The hacks that are suing are Tom Krazit, Dawn Kawamoto, Stephen Shankland and Rachel Konrad, as well as Stephen Shankland's parents. The INQ's Charlie Demerjian wasn't snooped on by HP, even though he wrote plenty of articles that totally cheesed off the Witchfinder Generals at the firm.
Charlie's not very happy about that.
