A Vole nicked my nudes

A PUBLISHER of an online soft-core porn magazine is suing software giant Microsoft for nicking its content.

The Vole has not actually stuck the pictures on the its own site, otherwise it might be a bit more popular. But what the company "Perfect 10" claims is that it puts links and images of the company's content in search results taken from other Web sites that are illegally reproducing the material.

According to Tech Blorge, Perfect 10 has tried a similar stunt with Google and Amazon.com over alleged copyright infringement and the case was chucked out of court. However Perfect 10 is appealing that decision, and is suing Vole in the meantime.

The suit also claims that the MSN search engine can find passwords that have been improperly posted on other Web sites and enable access to Perfect 10's Web site.

Vole benefits because it takes advertising money from Web sites that have stolen Perfect 10 images. Norm Zada, president of Perfect 10, claims his company to lose US$4 million a month. Of course if he wins it will be the end of Internet search engines.
