Halo 2 contains "partial nudity"
M$ issues loincloth patch

THE RELEASE of PC shooter Halo 2 was further delayed yesterday after it emerged that some 'Hot Coffee'-style shenanigans were included with the game.

Halo 2, the Windows Vista-only conversion of the old Xbox favourite, was due to release on May 8. That got pushed back to May 22, to give the code a little extra time for some R&R.

However, according to Microsoft "It has come to our attention that an unfortunate, obscure content error which includes partial nudity was included in our initial production of Halo 2 for Windows Vista."

So what exactly is in there? We don't know. What counts as an obscure content error? We're not sure there, either. What is Microsoft going to do? Well, try to avoid any legal shenanigans that's for sure - retailers have received stickers to put on Halo 2 packaging to warn about the content, which can be removed with a patch downloaded from Microsoft.

The Vole is saying that the official release date has been moved back to May 31, but some retailers, having already received the game, are reportedly selling it willy-nilly. We'll be off into old London Town later to check out the status on the high street, and we'll be sure to let you know.
