FTC asked to investigate Google Doubleclick buy
Is it a fair and balanced acquisition?

THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION (FTC) is being requested to inquire into Google's acquisition of the Doubleclick ad software firm amidst concerns that the search engine lot are becoming a wee bit too powerful.

Associated Press reported that a body called the Electronic Privacy Information Center is worried that both Doubleclick and Google pick up way too much information on individuals using the interwibble.

Google, apparently, will have way too much information about what people do on the web without adequate legal protection.

But Doubleclick, according to AP, said any data it gathered on the interweb belonged to customers and no data mining nefariousness was possible. Other privacy organisations concerned about privacy invasions have joined into the requested inquiry.
