The new service will provisionally be called MyBBCRadio, and will combine existing services such as podcasts and the BBC Radio Player. The service - which will use peer-to-peer technology - will also be a feature of BBC's iPlayer service, which will offer seven days of BBC TV programming on demand. It said people had listened to 20 million hours of BBC content online in March. The company will decide if its existing assemblage of popular podcasts will be made permanent "later this year".
