Dell agrees to AMD subpoena request
INTEL STALWART DELL has agreed to supply documents and other materials in an antitrust case filed by AMD against the chip giant.

In the filing, Dell said it has documents and information in electronic form which AMD has requested as part of its antitrust case filed in Delaware.

Dell said it has "engaged in good faith efforts" to identify employees who were involved in negotiations and decisions about X86 procurements, and has provided a list of custodians and will instruct them to keep such documents.

The firm also said it will preserve the June 27 2005 backup tapes, as well as information from hard drives on desktops, notebooks or shared servers.

Dell will also make a copy of the microprocessor procurement databases for the purposes of the court case.

Electronic records of two former Dell employees, Dan Anderson and Alan Luecke can't be preserved, the firm said. Custodians named include founder Michael Dell, and current CEO Kevin Rollins, the filing said.
