Longhorn will have built in RSS
THE SOFTWARE giant which straddles the known world, like the colossus at Rhodes, yes, Microsoft has vowed to build in RSS for Internet data feeds into the next version of Windows.

According to Xinhuanet, Really Simple Syndication (RSS), which was invented by Vole's former arch enemy Netscape, allows internet users to track freshly updated information, without having to surf through a list of web pages.

Megan Kidd, a Windows product manager said that despite what Vole thought about RSS when it was first released, it now thinks that it's better than sliced bread, the wheel and the dishwasher.

"We really believe that RSS is key to how people will be using the Internt in the future," she is said to have said. Vole is planning a set of underlying extensions to RSS code that will make it easier for web sites to publish lists such as photo albums, music playlists and other sorts of Top 10 lists as RSS feeds.
