Windows Installer 3.1 is a minor update to the recently released Windows Installer 3.0 and contains several new feature enhancements and resolved issues identified since the release of the Windows Installer 3.0.MinorUpdateTargetRTM Property - Allows an author of a minor update patch more flexibility when choosing which release the patch targets.MsiSetExternalUIRecord API - External UI handlers can now receive messages in either the form of strings or records.x64 and Msix64 Properties - Support for the latest x64 architecture machines.MsiNotifySidChange API - Allows for easier migration of Windows Installer configuration data when users are migrated from one domain to another.Plus other minor enhancements.
