Q: I'm trying to get a Hauppauge PVR250 48015 (non MCE) working with MCE 2005 OEM. I've tried every driver I can find, followed the instructions and tried several different MPEG 2 decoders including Win DVD 6 Platinum. I've used the Media Player Encoder util to confirm that it's MP10 compatible. I get the same 'Decoder Error' everytime: 'The video decoder has either malfunctioned or is not installed. Please restart Media Center and/or the computer.' Has anyone managed to get this particular model working or is it just the MCE specific cards that work at the moment? Any ideas? This has been driving me crazy. It works in MCE 2004 fine.
A: contact Manufacturer and get the newest drivers. Also you will need to get the decoder.
