Can depends whether you're running NTFS or FAT32 as NTFS may have that Folder/File protected. If NTFS, I have had success by booting up with NTFS Pro and browsing to the DIR that contains the culprit files and deleting, a real pain. I only use NTFS if security is of
paramount importance.
If
not NTFS, try this, it's worked for me many times, but it depends which program is locking/watching the file you want to delete.
1. Whatever the file extension is, get another file with the same .ext, but rename it in a different dirrectory so it
has the exact name of the file you wish to delete.
2. Copy this renamed file to the
directory that contains the culprit file and PASTE it to DELETE/OVERWRITE the culprit file.
It may work, no guarantees though.
