This is two part reply.
First let me say that Congrats are in order we have our second baby due in Sept/Oct. A little girl as welll.
Second I Commend you on your desire to have your child raised by a full time parent. I think that Society was 10x better during the "leave it to Beaver " Generation, (BTW this was before the TAX burden was so high that 2 people had to work to survive) I was one of the early latch key kids. I think that TV and Playstation raising our children is wrong, We like KC are in our 10th year of marriage, we bought our first house 6 years ago, had our first child 4 years ago, we planned ahead. But money is still tight from time to time.
I will reply to taxes etc in the next thread. You said that your wife loves Kids, depending on your housing situation you may or may not be able to do home day care. But one thing depending on the state you live in, it ranges from $1300 - $2500 per child (TAX FREE) to do foster care for children with devlopment needs. They attend school during school hours. I am unsure what state that you live in but we have some friends that do it here they go through an agency as opposed to the state directly, they get time off 2 days once a month.
