Yes, get most recent update for your BIO's and flash it.
If that's not an option, buy a new motherboard or a new system for that matter.
May I ask why you need so much memory in a system so old? Once you reach about 500MB on an old system like that you often have more ram available than the slow CPU can ever need. You can get stuck in an upgrade circle that often costs you much more in the long run than just getting a new system in the first place.
