Microsoft is now circulating a press memo stating the company's position since SP1 has not changed, and they will be offering no olive branch to pirates. "Prior to installing, SP2 will check the OS' product ID (PID) against a list of known pirated PIDs," says a Microsoft spokesman. "If a PID is found to be invalid, SP2 will not install."
