Ah. I rocognize the problem. I don't have the solution but I think (somewhere vaguely remember this beeing posted sometime before) war59312 had some ideea about it. See if he comes up with something here.
It also might be that you are hit by a virus; do you have SYSU.EXE as a running process?
EDIT: Ok, sysu.exe is a wellknown viiri removing icons and startbuttons. Good thing you don't have it of course. Then I think you have to wait for somebody more savvy than me to jump in here.
