if you can't uninstall it, you should check out symantec's sites for
how to do it - do a search for remove security 2003 plus your version of windows. e.g. Win98 or XP

If you can't uninstall via Add and Remove, you will probably have to download - Rnav2003.exe (removes the anti virus) and maybe RnisUPG.exe (removes the security stuff)as both the AV and Security programs have to be removed before you can reinstall NIS.
