A strange problem this.... right out of the blue.
When ever I click on Internet Explorer i get the message
'windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You might not have the appropriate permissions to access the item'
Things that I have tried to get it working again:
*Can't do a system restore, have tried
*Have tried reinstalling using the Windows system file protection command from the OS disk.... nothing......
*have created a new Admin account and still nothing
*have upgraded using an XP pro with the latest b2 service pack.... again nothing...
All that is left is a complete reformat, which I cant really do yet because I have too many incomplete p2p's transfers etc...
I have had to install the latest Netscape 7.1 browser so that I can get on the internet ect. It's a cool browser, but obviously, I still want IE back....
Every thing else is working OK like Outlook Express and Windows Explorer.
Any help here appreciated.
