Where would you have the email address located?
You only get the "new" option on the desktop and wouldn't the address be in a text document or notepad?
If it's a list of email addresses you could use something like metapad that resolves the addresses into links.
(they need to be listed as: mailto:fakeuser@fakehost.com)
Then when you click the address you want it opens up your default email client and the message is addressed to the recipiant.
