Nothing has been changed about broadcasting standards, the govt has just decided to get off its butt and enforce what already exists.
What you seem to be missing Tomboy is that "what already exists" is not defined in black and white and is left to interpretation. My point is who defines what "decency" or obscenity is? And what makes their view more valid than mine or anyone elses? What is to stop someone (in power) from claiming that someone elses views (not in power) are indecent and immoral and therefore illegal? It's a very thin line to walk and the fact that government is doing it is even more scary... when will the "filters" start applying to internet use? I mean, children have access to computers, right? So let's filter the net in the name of "protection" right? Hello my friends in Red China
Sheesh.......and to try to take a potshot at me because my views may be different than yours is not a very tolerant way of going through life - I wish you luck
